Does anyone else's kid suck?

I swear my DS is backwards.  It seems like the older he gets, the more whiney and clingy he gets.  When he's at home with me he just whines, cries, refuses to play independently...basically is only happy if I'm holding him AND walking around.  On days I don't work we're out doing stuff almost the entire day or else I want to set myself on fire by noon.  I spend so much money on random crap because I go shopping for 6 hours a day 4 days a week!  Anyone else?
