Screaming??

Okay so our 10 month old has started to scream a lot recently.  It has escalated over the weekend. She screamed so loud yesterday during church that we got stares and a lot of them!!  I am trying to ignore it but it's really tough to do.  Is anyone else going through this?  I was thinking that maybe she is having a hard time communicating since she only says a few words and that's why she is screaming so I was thinking of teaching her sign language.  Has anyone else done this?
