HI Ladies,

 Tomorrow morning is my appointment with the genetic counselor and I've written a list of questions to ask and discuss . Is there anything else you should think I should add? Let me know, I appreciate it.

What in my blood showed a marker for SB? What exactly do the odds 1/90 mean? Could there be any other reason for high AFP levels? Can the blood test be done over? Can the anatomy scan or other ultrasound technology be used to detect any spinal defects? How accurate would amniocentesis be for diagnosis? How late can amniocentesis be performed? What are the statistics for amniocentesis performed here? How many amniocentesis have been performed ? Should I see a MFM doctor?  Is there one on staff? If the baby has it, is there anything that can be done in utero? What is the time line and what are the risks for in utero treatment? If the baby has it, should a C section be performed as opposed to a vaginal birth? What evaluations and treatments can be done at birth?
