Anyone's DH or SO out of town alot?

DH just recently got his CDL so tomorrow he will be doing his OTR  (Over the Road)training and will be gone for 4 weeks... home for a week then back out 2 to 3 weeks at a time and home for 2 to 3days at a time. He has to work for this trucking company for a year or we will have to pay back what the training cost to get his CDL ($3900)   After a year he is hoping to get on with Waste Management or something wheres hes driving local ... or atleast not gone for such long periods of time and has time home. Anyways... since i'm rambling... Does anyones DH or SO travel alot for work, drive trucks, or is deployed(not that im comparing DHs job to deployment at all, i know its completely different).... what kinds of things are you guys to doing to make sure LO knows them when they come back. We plan on skyping as much as possible so DD can see DH   but im just wondering if anyone has some words of advice or whatever. This isnt exactly an ideal situation for us but weve been in the hole financially for so long we had to do something drastic... im just starting to worry that the time hes going to miss with DD will make it not worth it ya know....  Once again... rambling....  Thanks guys!
