Actual birthday activities/plans

Today is my DDs birthday and I feel like a bad Mom because I didn't have any real plans for this actual day. We had a big party over the weekend and she's getting her present from us tonight but nothing else big is planned. Is this the way everyone else has or plans to handle Thier LOs 1st birthday, since hey can't really request anything or what are you plans?
