This standing in crib at night is driving me crazy!

So I have been having the hardest time lately getting our daughter to bed. She will only go to sleep in my arms and then I place her in her crib. We used to be able to put her down awake sometimes but now I have to wait untill she is in a deep sleep to put her down. If I put her down when she is not in a deep sleep she gets up right away and stands while she cries. I try to let her cio but she will not go to sleep on her own. She will just stand while she cries. Anyone else going through this?
