1. When I got married, the priest refused to ask "who gives this woman to this man" or whatever it is...my Godfather was pretty pissed off and took it upon himself to say " I am giving my goddaughter to this man because her father is no longer here to do it...I am honored that she asked me to do this in his place".

I was pretty pissed that the priest refused to say it. Later months after we were married I approached the priest and asked him what the deal was. He tells me that the tradition is sexist blah blah blah....I wanted to ask him, with all the other issues with the Catholic Church and you in particular, this is what you latch on to?

 

2. My husband's latest party  trick is to tell people that he paid my mother two camels and a goat. And he follows it up with, yeah she was worth every teat. He believes he is funny...
