Does anyone know if they redesigned the ball popper?

Everyone recommends it, and we'd like to get one for DD, but I remember it being listed on the most dangerous toys list a year or two ago for being loud enough to cause permanent hearing damage (90+ decibels).

Does anyone know if Playskool recalled it or is it still the same one? I can't seem to find info anywhere online.
