Question about your Pedi.

We recently discovered that our Pedi's office bases how much they charge us per sick visit based on what the diagnosis was, how much time the Dr spent with you, how many different things were wrong, etc. About a month ago we suspected DD had a yeast infection but were unable to bring her in that day. Our Pedi called in a prescription and charged us as though it were a sick visit. One time she was diagnosed with a sinus infection and something else, and they practically charged us double the normal $65 we pay per sick visit.

Does anyone else's office run like this? I've never heard of such a thing. We're strongly considering changing Pedi's...I just want to know if it's the norm first. With any doctor I've ever gone to, I've been charged a flat rate regardless.
