allergic reaction to air conditioning?

The summer heat is on and we've used our air conditioning for two evenings, now. Both nights, my LO has woke up extremely congested and full of snot (really bad). He was not that way prior to putting him to bed, and by the time I took him to daycare it was getting better. This has happened for two days now. I think daycare thinks I'm crazy because I commented on both days that I thought he was really coming down with a bad cold. There have been no other changes apart from us putting on our air...and he's also teething, but I heard that congestion related to teething is one of those old wives tales. Has anyone else experienced this?
