Diaper Rash v/s Yeast Infection

DS is on a strong antibiotic for a recurring ear infection.  He was on Amoxicillin for 7 days then we had to switch to Augmentin, which he has been on for 7 days.

His tush is bright red and very sore.  I can tell he has a poop diaper because he starts screaming in pain (no smell to the poop). 

How can tell if this is just a bad rash or if it is a yeast infection?  His little butt isn't going to make it through 3 more days of antibiotic poops.
