Student 1: GREAT kid, Indian kid, sweetheart, so enthusiastic and peppy, Student Council and AP, etc. etc. etc..  Gives a speech discussing the changes he faced when moving to this area.  Yeah yeah.  Then says, "My old neighborhood was mostly black.  I don't think young kids should really be exposed to that."  The class flipped their shits.    I just can't believe that a sweet kid like him would say something like this.  I wanted to consult my dept. chair on how to handle it, so I didn't discuss it with him yet.
