Going off the mini pill

If you've already done this, how long was it until you got your first period.  I stopped taking it over 3 weeks ago (by accident, I ran out and kept forgetting to pick up a new perscription), and I thought I'd see something by now.  I keep getting cramps but nothing comes of it, and of course my mind jumps to PREGNANT, lol.
