tell me about your daycare

DS started regular daycare for the first time this week. We are using an in-home daycare in our neighborhood, just a short 5 minute walk from our house. It seems like a good place, but I have nothing to compare it to. So I have some questions about what I should expect for a daycare tending to babies and toddlers.

- Does your daycare have a tv with childrens programming? Is it on all the time or just some of the time?

- Do the children all nap at the same time? Do they have a separate room for napping? What is it like? (dark, quiet, white noise?)

- Is there any "structured" play? Do the daycare workers do specific, developmental-type activities with the kids or do they all just hang out in a room with a bunch of toys and play with whatever they're in the mood to play with all day long?
