Dr. Kevorkian died - thoughts on assisted suicide?

This board is dead, so maybe this will liven things up?

Dr. Jack Kevorkian died this morning (aka "Dr. Death"). 

I'm actually a bit sad.  While assisted suicide is controversial, I don't see anything wrong with someone helping another person die at a time of their choosing - most of his patients were terminally ill or in so much pain that they had little to no quality of life.  He was helping them do something that they couldn't (or wouldn't) do for themselves.
