I asked this on my month board, but it seems like I may get a better response here.
A mom from my playgroup suggested that I join (she is on the board). But the financial and time commitments seem to be a lot. Is anyone here a member? Do you
really feel like you get a lot out of it? For our location, you can only
apply/join once a year and the deadline is rapidly approaching. I do
enjoy volunteering and have worked in professional fundraising and event
management, so I think I may enjoy it, but the financial commitment is holding me back.

Membership Dues = $150 Plus $100 for new member orientation
Community Service Reqts = One Impact Shift
Fund Development Obligation = One Fund Development Shift
One ticket to the Island Divine Fundraiser ($80)
One ticket to an A La Carte Fundraiser ($20+)
Sell 3 Cookbooks at $30+ each
Donate one $50+ Silent Auction Item
General Meeting Requirements
Three General Membership Meetings Mandatory
Annual Voting Meeting Mandatory
Placement Requirement = Placement on a Junior League project,
