Anyone tried to clean a Pack and Play Changing Table?

Ours is nasty.. covered in diaper cream, smells vaguely like poo..

I just took the whole thing apart and was planning on sticking in the wash and then realized it has the big hard wood thing in the middle.. so I don't think it can really go in the washer.. The instructions on the tag say "wipe with a damp cloth". Yeah, right..

My husband is suggesting steaming it? (he actually told me to have his mom steam it because he seems to think she is the only one who knows how to use a steamer) Think that might work?
