Baby shower gift question

I have a couple things I want to get for a friend's baby shower.  But then I have like a shopping cart cover I got when I traded in my baby sling when it got recalled.  I already had a shopping cart cover so I never took this new one out of the packaging.

Does it look strange if I have a "mish mash" of baby items?  Like is it going to look like I'm regifting or something?  I don't feel like I'm regifting the shopping cart cover - but does it seem odd to be giving it in a gift bag with a bunch of 'unrelated' baby items (like infant supplies, when the cover is for a little older)?

I'm not trying to 'pawn off' the cover either - I actually loved getting some stuff for when my baby got older, because then we had stuff when we needed it, instead of having to run around for it... as opposed to the ridiculous amount of clothes we got!!
