Those with kids who don't nap

I'm pretty sure Rosie is starting to drop her nap.  If she takes one, she's a beast to get down at night and won't fall asleep until 9:30 or 10pm, but when she doesn't take one (like the last 3 days), she'll fall asleep pretty easily at night.

Selfishly, I'm sad about it, because I really enjoy that time to myself, and it would be even nicer to have it when the baby arrives.  Do you do anything in place of the nap, like quiet time?  How long is it, are there certain rules you follow?
