Oatmeal

DD eats oatmeal for breakfast when MIL watches her during the week. She is still eating the Gerber baby cereal kind of oatmeal.  I was wondering when you tried out regular whole oats with your LO.  I have some at home that I may try with her this weekend but I'm not sure how she'll take to the texture.  I don't mind her still eating the Gerber stuff b/c she likes it but I thought I'd try to switch anyway so she's getting straight oats.  Have you had luck grinding them up in a food processor?
