Need Help with Sleep Problem!

Hello, Mommies!

So, I haven't posted FOREVER since going back to work, but I am in DESPERATE need of some assistance.

Since DS was born, he will only sleep while being held or in a seated position. Because of this, we've done bedsharing since the first week home from the hospital. So, we've always indulged his preferences, and now we can't break the pattern!

DS was the only baby at his in-home daycare and a 8 week old just started last week... Plus, the school age kids are out-of-school, so my provider just can't give him the attention that he is used to. Apparently, she told DH (in a loving and appropriate way) that she is frustrated that he can not sleep unless she is holding him.

 Anyway, I feel like SUCH a bad mother for letting him develop such bad sleep habits. Does anyone have any insight on how to help co-sleeping babies transition to sleeping by themselves? Anyone know any good resources or have any good experience with a similar situation??

 Boy, I hope that someone has more insight than I do!
