Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Salt

So far I have made all of LO's food, but now that we are moving to table food, I keep thinking about the salt content. I know babies are supposed to have very little salt, but then I keep thinking about cheese. It has a lot of salt in it. And even wheat bread (or bread in general) has a lot of salt. I want LO to start eating beans, but making black beans from scratch is time consuming, so as a working mom I bought canned reduced sodium black beans but they still have a ton of salt! I feel like I keep giving LO the same things over and over because I deem them "healthy" for her, but I feel like I am limiting her food choices. Any thoughts on this???
