S/O $ per hour for babysitter

For those of you who have in home child care:

We are searching for part time child care in our home. 2 times per week for 8 hours/day with light housekeeping (vacuuming, dusting, emptying dishwasher, etc.) Ideally we would like a college student (we live about a mile from college campus).

I've come up with a list of what we are looking for, but can you add some of the qualities you required? Also what do you think is acceptable pay?
