OK, maybe this is a sign that I shouldn't have a computer right now

So, it began on Thursday night, as I was trying to pay bills, of course. Our cable modem, which controls our phone and internet, just died. When the tech came the next day, he said it had been a long time since he'd seen one that fried. Oh well, new modem, up and running in 5 minutes, thought we were good to go.

DH comes to bed around 2am, said, "Something's going on with your computer. I kept getting these weird messages and your screen was looking funny."

It's our only computer. DH's died a few months ago, and we hadn't really gotten around to getting a new one because at least we had mine. Now I'm starting to wonder if this is a sign I really need to take a break from my computer. I really hope whatever it is will be a quick fix. I can't afford a whole new system, and this one isn't that old (3-4 years, tops). Yuck. I hate technology.
