Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Standing up, not putting himself back to sleep

Hi ladies,

A little while ago I had posted that I was worried that my son (9 months) would wake up my daughter (2 years) if I were to let him CIO.  He eats PLENTY and doesn't always want to eat when he wakes up either.  So there's no reason for him to get up.

Anyways ... I just decided to do it, and it was working ok.  He wasn't crying for long enough to wake her up.

Now I have a different issue.  He's now able to pull himself up to standing.  So he's now fully awake each time he wakes up, and can't put himself back.  I don't think it's that he can't physically lay back down.  So .... do I go in.  Or just let him stand there and scream?  Last night I let it go on for 45 minutes before I went to get him.  And as much as it killed me to listen to him, I did it.  But honestly I don't know how long he'd go.  And as soon as I go in there he gets louder, so I don't think picking him up and actually laying him back down is an option.

Any tips on getting him to go back to sleep from standing up??
