10 month old discipline

W has begun screaming angrily when he's dissatisfied with certain things I won't let him do or feeling unhappy in general.

And so I guess I'm just wondering how others are or are going to deal with early misbehaviour issues?

Obviously they don't understand big explainations or butt-swats at this early point of life, but I'm wondering what other people have used (and that works). When I say no firmly, it just makes him scream harder.
