strep and mastitis at the same time!

Just briefly venting here, as I'm waiting for my OB and internist to fight it out re: what meds are appropriate for me right now.

I came down with mastitis last week, started antibiotics, and five days later, I now have strep throat! AAAAAAK! My internist was a little bewildered on how to approach this, given the strep surfaced after I started antibiotic treatment for the mastitis. She suggested another antibiotic, to which my OB said no, and now we're all going back and forth.

I am so ready for summer. My LO was sick last week (for the 10th time this year - he's at daycare) and in the past few days, has been looking so much better. Now, I'm worried I have given him strep. I guess we'll just wait and see.
