First Birthday Party Tips...

while they are fresh on my mind.

1. Don't wait until the end to cut the cake/open the gifts.  The kids are tired, wilted and restless by then.  We learned this tip after attending a friend's party.

2. Designate a friend or relative (not mom/dad or gramdparents) to take pics with your camera.  You will be way too busy and will forget.  Thank god my dad is a shutterbug.

3. If LO is tired halfway through the party, do a nap.  Guests didn't mind that DS took a quick nap halfway through.  Better than a grumpy guest of honor.
