video monitor question for 2 kids

So I know we can order a second camera and then see both rooms on a single handset (toggle back and forth between the rooms).  But if we bought a whole new one (same as the first one) could we then have 2 handsets that could toggle between both rooms?  That would be ideal for us but I wasn't sure if it would work.  Does anybody know?  I'm not too technologically savvy.
