Question for Expecting Moms or very new Moms

So my ob's office now has a MW who I saw on my first appointment. She was going over everything with me and told me that all adults that I'm around need to get the vaccine for croup, and those that don't I shouldn't let around the baby for the 1st 4 months. And after the baby was born I needed to get it also. DH and I were kind of taken back by this and hadn't heard of this when I was pregnant with T and I don't remember any of you girls talking about it on here.

Were any of you told this? Is this something new that they are now starting to strongly suggest?
