Tampons or pads? Which do you use?

I have always worn pads unless I have my period and am going swimming-which doesn't happen too often. I was shocked when I was at work once and needed "protection" and everyone I worked with only uses tampons. I was surprised that no one really uses pads. I personally hate tampons-for some reason they always leak so no matter what I still need to wear some sort of pad anyways. That and I hate not knowing how full it is and if it needs to be changed or not.
