why can I not find pants anywhere (for Evan)

Evan needs some lightweight pants. All the ones he has from the fall/winter are getting too short, plus they are mostly fleece or heavier cotton. He has 1 pair from Carters (last fall) that are perfect... like a mesh basketball short material, but I can't find any like them. Everything in the stores now is shorts, and jeans seem to be the only pant option. For days like today, when it's nice out, but not warm enough for shorts, I need something to dress him in to play outside!

I've looked at Old Navy, Gap, CP, Gymboree, Crazy 8's, Carters, the OshKosh outlet, Target and a few other places. Has anyone seen any?! Poor kid has been wearing the same pair of pants every-other day!
