speech question

i'm going to ask M's ST tomorrow but i wanted to see if any of the other kids was doing this.

M learned the word 'ball' and he said it pretty clearly, regularly, and on his own, but in the last couple of days 'ball' has turned into something that sounds like either 'bowling' 'boring' or 'ballie', something along those lines. is is the weirdest thing. he's not talking about something else either, he is clearly talking about a ball when he is using these new forms of ball.

so my non-talking kid is now making up his own language?
