Very cautiously joining the club

So happy to be here. I am 5 weeks 4 days. I have been married almost 2 years and our first chemical was a month after our honeymoon. I have had 4 more since then! Never "pregnant" for more than 4-5 days. A BFP meant nothing to me after the first couple chemicals, which was very sad.:(

I have logged back into thebump, had to alter my due date (silly me thought a BFP meant a baby many months ago) and now here I am. I had an ultrasound today (my fertility specialist was funny - we stopped treatment almost 9 months ago to go it alone, but called for betas once I got BFP) "Oh so you are back and you did this yourself hey?" I was proud. Saw the little bean. No heartbeat yet. Light  brown spotting and some cramping, but I feel miles away from my old chemicals and the 48 hour pregnancies.

Wish me luck. I hope the spotting and cramping doesn't dash my hopes for a Jan 1 baby this year. I hope to keep up with all of you. If I can get the pics scanned I will post a picture of my ultrasound to get your opinion on a 5w4d "look". Anyone else get a heartbeat this early? I got back this coming Tuesday, can't wait.
