Vacation?

We have a vacation planned to St. Lucia at the end of June. We are thinking about changing our plans since we were staying at an AI (read: very expensive). I don't think that I'd be able to enjoy it as much as I should for the price. I won't even be able to have a few cocktails. Plus, I'm worried about being at the end of 1st tri and beginning of 2nd tri and something going wrong while I'm there. I know it's unlikely to happen at the time. I just want to change our plans so I'll feel ok about where we are going. Is anyone else in this predicament?

We are thinking about changing our plans to somewhere in the U.S.... San Fran, Seattle, or NYC. Any suggestions?
