Hurting and scared

Lightening crotch started this weekend and I thought nothing of it, today it changed into something different and worse. The pain this morning like normal but spread into my abdomen at lunch. I thought it was just stretching pain I have heard everyone talk about but it has been consistent for 4 hrs with frequent sharp stabbing pains. It's in my lower abdomen and crotch area, more so on the left. There is dc but no spotting. I called my doc who set me up for an u/s tomorrow. Trying to stay calm and convience myself this is completely normal.
