We've picked our names for the boys!

It's official - we decided on names for the boys last night. We are heading to Eastern WA where my family will be this weekend for the service for my grandma who passed away last weekend. I really wanted to pick names before we left so I would be able to tell them in person (since my family lives in Cali).

We knew a while ago that we wanted to use our fathers middle names as the boys middle names, so we just needed to think of first names to go with them. As we narrowed the list down, we looked up names/spellings of names that were English-Irish, which is where DHs last name originates from, as well as German, which is where the my maiden name originates from.

We decided on Lukas Michael and Noah James.

Lukas is the German spelling for Lucas and Michael is my dad's middle name. Noah is an English/Irish name with James being DHs dad's middle name. We are so happy that we were able to incorporate their grandfathers names as well as some origin of our families.

Having names for the boys just makes things seem that much more 'real'!
