Noisy newborns

Evan was a super noisy newborn...while sleeping.  That is what made us transition out of his room at 6 weeks old, we all slept better after that.  Since our house is 2 bedroom, Baby Boy #2 will be in our room for some time.   I am a super light sleeper, so I was wondering how common it is for newborns to be super noisy, like Evan was.  Now, he goes 12 hours without a peep....
