Overwhelmed

I am three months pregnant and my fiance called off our wedding three nights ago.  He tried to come back last night and say he wishes he could take everything he said back, but its too late, I've already canceled everything as the wedding was next month.  I've had a difficult pregnancy (was pregnant with twins and lost one and almost lost the other one) and he wanted this baby in the beginning.  He just so easily walked away and I know in my heart down the road when the going gets tough he will just walk away again.  Has anyone gone through pregnancy and birth alone here?  How do you handle everything without that other person?  I'm devastated, but know I have to be strong now.  Does it ever get easier?
