OMG my coworkers are going to be the death of me :-( (vent)

I'm trying to wrap up some major projects prior to my leave and need to meet with every dept in the company to discuss software requirements for a new product we're purchasing.  I have one dept that keeps asking me over and over again to reschedule their meeting and I keep telling them I can't move it because I won't be here to meet with them.  I scheduled the meeting 8 weeks in advance and still had trouble getting a time when all our schedules were free.  I am about ready to tell them to forget it and I will just buy the software that meets everyone else's needs and they can just live with it, if they can't find an hour in their schedule to go over the system requirements with me.  At the end of the day this one purchase will probably cost us a million dollars and take 18 mos of my time to get up and running and all I want is a freaking hour of their time.  I don't think I am asking for too much.  Why is that so hard??  Argh!!!  :::beating head on desk:::
