is DH "left out" if you breastfeed?

I'm only 17 weeks along, but I would like to breastfeed.  I'm just wondering how your DH/SO was able to be involved?  Do they miss out on not being able to really feed the baby?
I should say also, that I haven't done ANY research on breastfeeding yet, this is just something that has been on my mind.
