Hi Ladies,

My DD is now 17 days old....and I am EBF. How long should she be feeding on each side to ensure she gets the breast completely emptied? I want to make sure she is getting all the hindmilk. She will usually feed on the first breast for 15-30 minutes, and will almost always take the second breast for at least 10 minutes.

My doc said that as long as she is on each breast for 10 minutes, then it should be emptied.

Thoughts?
