XP: Prayers please (maybe TMI)

I am a bit worried.  DH and I went for a walk yesterday afternoon (more than I usually walk), and at the end, I experienced sharp pains in my lower abdomen and inner vaginal area (hard to describe).  They subsided and all was fine. Before bed, I urinated and noted bright red pinpoint dots on the tissue paper and in the toilet.  There were probably 5.  They were definitely blood like because they would smear.  I was very scared throughout the night.  After peeing this morning, I again noted 3 small pinpoint maroon dots (no longer bright red).  I am taking it easy for the rest of the day, laying down and drinking fluids.  My plan is to call the on call doctor if this worsens or continues throughout the day.  Does anyone have any experience with this?  Do you think I should call the doctor sooner and not wait?  I have zero pain or cramping.  Thank you.
