Pacifier withdrawl

I am chickening out on this...E only uses it in his crib for naps and bedtime.  It falls out of his mouth almost as soon as he falls asleep.  He is a great sleeper and falls asleep so well.  I know that the withdrawl period would not take too long, but I am wondering if I should let him have this, at least for the first several months of his little brother's life...to help with the transition, and hopefully he continues to sleep well.

Thoughts? Advice?  I was going to ask the ped. as well at his 18 month visit next week...
