Ugh...Note of warning to those with younger kiddos

Once they get old enough to talk and start making their own decisions, wait as long as possible to decide on a birthday party theme because when you least expect it, the idea will change. For the last month or two, Ian has loved the idea of having a dinosaur on his cake (he only focuses on the cake for his birthday - to him it's the most important part). This weekend, he throws at me that he now wants the Backyardigans on his cake. He hasn't stopped talking about it since. You mention cake in any conversation, and he'll tell you how he wants the Backyardigans and the Big Giant Robot on his cake (it's from his favorite episode). Hopefully this is definitely it, because we've got just a little over a month left to go before his birthday, and I need to start budgeting my time and money for everything.

Good thing I was just pricing things. Please, please, please don't let him change his mind again.
