B fell down the stairs

The baby gate is faulty and needs to be replaced (doing it tonight). She started climbing up the stairs and before my mom could get to her she fell down 4-5 steps. My mom is a wreck. So we have the summer infant quick release gate... so not getting this again. It has never worked right and now I'm kicking myself. If you pushed on the gate hard enough it popped loose and opened up.

B is ok. She has a rug burn on her face and is otherwise ok. Poor baby! But who has a baby gate that they use with a banister? The one we had has this slide latch for one handed opening and closing. But now this isn't necessary. Can you give me any suggestions? Since DH is on a 48 hour shift (fireman), my Dad is coming over to put it in. Anyone have one to recommend?
