Our FS who is 3 has been with us for 2 weeks.  He is doing well and has really come a long way since he was removed from mom.  Apparently, on Thursday, he was supposed to have a visit with his mother, and she called the case manager to tell her she couldn't make it to see him and his two brothers because she was in labor.  She had her baby 6 weeks early!  Not surprising she openly admitted to the CM that she was using Marijuana.  Anyways, the baby is in the NICU on oxygen, and the CM called in a report to have the baby sheltered.  The baby will remain in the NICU for a bit, and they will place the baby into a temporary foster home until we can take it at 6 weeks of age.

DH found all of this out when he was at a staffing for a child on one of his cases.  He wasn't sure the sex of the baby, but he thought it might be a girl.  I am going to call the foster agency tomorrow to get more details and see how *she* is doing.
