question about sunning diapers....

I typically sun my diapers on wash day....taking advantage of AZ sun.  However, we are not loving our fuzzibunz and thinking about selling them off since we don't use them. However there are a few stains on them from when I had to do indoor line drying when a few storms were passing through.  Anyways my question is:  can I sun them without having to wash them (they are already clean) to help get out stains or is it the fact they are wet when out in the sun that helps bleach out the stains?  Thanks!
