Wool question

Right now we're on 100% pockets because we use them for child care and it's very convenient to have everything the same.

But...DD has had a couple of rashes lately so I've been thinking about trying fitteds or prefolds at home and maybe looking in to wool to help her bum get more air.  I'm also a knitter, as is my mom, so I kind of like the idea of making some wool covers myself.

I'm hesitant, though, because I can't wear anything made of wool.  I don't think I have a true allergy, but I often get very itchy and have gotten hives from wool.

Would that be enough to deter you from investing in wool for your LO?  DD has pretty sensitive skin like me, and I don't want to spend the time and expense to buy or make if she'll have a reaction.
