Newborn AIOs worth it?

I plan to use mostly PFs or fitteds with PUL covers or wool during the newborn phase, but was mulling the idea of buying 2-3 NB AIOs also...I guess for my MIL in case she watches the baby (my mom is a PF master so no worries there) or DH in case he has a steep learning curve with the PFs/fitteds.  I'm just hesitant because the AIOs can be so expensive and I know that not only will a NB need to be changed every couple hours but she'll grow out of them super fast.

What do you think?  Waste of money or essential to the stash?
